Gnomeregan - 2nd attempt
For those interested the gnomeregan excursion was partly successful last night. We (jediscrollit, rasputin and craghewn) made it quite happily down past the hall of gears (which has a handy mailbox and 'clean' zone half way through) and on down into the landing bay and quite happily to the bottom of there where the enemies become significantly more numerous and a bit tougher - area of effect damage or hitting many enemies at once would be most handy here.
We got to the bottom of the landing zone and happily set off deeper into gnomeregan but got swarmed by the mechanosentry folk and dark iron dwarves who apparently live down there. These dwarves put mines down that explode for lots of damage if not swiftly dealt with - also, if one goes off they all go - quite lethal. So we got wiped out down there (yes i forgot to use my healing potions) outnumbered at least 2 to 1 by lvl 29+ elites. I managed to stealth back down to rez rasputin and he was in the process of rezzing jediscrollit when 5 wee gnomes respawned on top of us. We took these out despite being low on mana (rezzing is expensive and rasputin was really only just waking up) when an alarm bot (runs up and shouts ALARM - amusing but brings all the enemies ur way). Sadly, just rezzed and freed from battle we couldn't take on the four mechanosentry things that came running and got wiped out again. So Warning! the baddies here respawn QUICK. would recommend probably 4 folks and a mage or warlock with AoE damage spells would be grand.
After that rasputin and I (with grado along for the ride) went to theramore isle for the next part of the missing diplomat quest which involved subduing a traitor and handing him over to jaina proudmore (who forged the tentative peace between thrall of the horde and the alliance in warcraft III). We both got 1g30s for that and a fine ring. nice.

Deadmines success
We did the deadmines - only one wipe out and otherwise pretty fair going. Thanks to Rasputin, Grado, Jediscrollit and Jayjay for a instance well fought.
Druids and party wipe outs.
I would like to point out to all concerned that a druid is darn handy in wipe out scenarios. We all died on the ship after we were desended on by about 12 mobs (sorry guys - I believe that was my fault). I respawned and being a night elf (my dead spirit is quicker than most characters) I got back first, told the other guys to wait for a bit - went to cat form and managed to run through the whole instance passing the three sets of guards (stealthed) and used rebirth to raise our priest - rasputin who then raised the rest of our party.
We also had a quick bash at stockades, got one quest done and about two thirds of a couple of others - nice tough area that.
